Recycled PET — the same plastic used in most drink bottles — is one of four materials we build frames from. It's reprocessed into a solid material that can be moulded the same way as virgin plastic, but starts from waste instead of new resin. It's also consistently our lightest frame family.

What that means for the frame itself

Recycled PET frames land with a matte, slightly softer finish than acetate, and they're noticeably light — the kind of pair you forget you're wearing by the afternoon. It's a different feel from wood or bamboo, not a lesser one.

If you want to see how recycled PET compares to our other three materials side by side, the materials guide covers wood, bamboo, and acetate too.
